A free SOS button for your family

An SOS button sends an alert to every guardian when a person presses it. With Hifazat, the alert shows the person's name or nickname, the time and the last known location, with 1 tap buttons to call or message. An SOS alert supports your family but does not replace calling emergency services.

How does the Hifazat SOS button work?

  1. 1

    Hold SOS for 2 seconds

Use Person mode or an active tag scan page. Release or press Cancel before the countdown ends to stop.

  2. 2

    Open the guardian dashboard

The saved SOS appears for the owner and every guardian who accepted an invitation. Keep the dashboard open to see new alerts.

  3. 3

    Call, check and respond

Call the person or family contact. Check any available map link. Mark the alert as resolved once you have responded.

What does a guardian see when an SOS comes in?

A private alert shows the person’s name or nickname, the time, and their last known location if one has been shared. Guardians can call, message on WhatsApp, open Google Maps or OpenStreetMap, forward the alert and add an optional resolution note.

Who can press SOS?

The person in Person mode, or a helper from an active scan page. Person mode uses an accepted device invitation, not a family account login. A public scan never shows a child’s private nickname or account information.

What should I do after an SOS alert?

Call the person, check the map if available, and call the local emergency number if needed. Check the location time before relying on it. A last known location may no longer be current.

What are the limits of an SOS button?

Internet access is needed. Notifications can be delayed or missed, and location may be unavailable or old. Hifazat does not call emergency services for you and does not replace adult supervision.

Email alerts remain unavailable until a verified sender domain is configured.

Questions about SOS

The person can use Person mode after accepting a device invitation. A helper can also press SOS on an active safety tag scan page. Both require a 2 second hold, and can be cancelled before the hold finishes. SOS does not call emergency services.

Yes. The alert must reach Hifazat before it appears in the family dashboard. A failed alert shows a message rather than claiming it was sent. If help is urgent, call your family or your verified local emergency number directly for help.

The SOS still appears with its time and the person’s private name or nickname. The dashboard clearly says the location is unavailable. A map link appears only when location was explicitly shared by the person or a helper. Check the location time before relying on it.

Accepted guardians can see the alert in their private family space. Email delivery is not yet available because a verified sender domain is still needed. Do not assume an email has been sent. Family may miss a saved alert, so contact them directly and call emergency services when needed.
