Hifazat, a free family safety tool by Qawex
You found a Hifazat tag. How can you help?
Open your phone camera and point it at the QR code. A page opens with buttons to call or message the family. Stay with the person if they need help, and use the buttons to reach their family. If it is an emergency, call your local emergency number first. Use a verified number for your current location.
How do I scan the tag?
Open your phone camera and point it at the QR. Tap the link your phone offers. Check that it is a Hifazat tag page before continuing. If the code will not scan, try better light or another phone.
What will I see?
An active tag shows the contact buttons and notes its owner has allowed. A child tag does not show a name, school, address or plain phone number. You do not need a Hifazat account to open a tag.
What if I found only an item, like a lost bag?
Use the contact buttons to tell the owner what you found. Agree on a safe public place or a staffed lost property desk for collection. Do not publish the tag or details of the item online.
What if the page says the tag is not active?
The owner may have paused, replaced or deleted it. You cannot reach the family through that link. Hand a lost item to a staffed lost property desk. If a person needs urgent help, contact local emergency services.
Is it safe to share my location?
Sharing is optional. The page asks for your agreement and your phone permission before sharing your location once with the family. You can decline and still call or message. Share only from a place you are comfortable disclosing.
Who runs Hifazat?
